How random video chat works on Blinko
When you press Start, Blinko puts you in a matching queue and pairs you with the best available stranger — preferring people who share your interests, speak your languages and match your country filter. The video connection is opened directly between the two of you (peer-to-peer WebRTC), which keeps latency low and means Blinko never sees or stores the stream.
During the call you get a live text chat, a call timer and connection-quality indicator, a profile card for your partner, and keyboard shortcuts (space for Next, M to mute, C for camera) so you never hunt for a button.
Filters that are actually free
Country filter, interest matching and “verified users only” are all included at no cost. Most random video chat apps charge for exactly these. Narrow filters can mean a slightly longer wait, so Blinko tells you when it is taking a while and offers to widen the search with one tap.
